Paperform is a business set up by self-taught Paper Engineer Benja Harney from Sydney, Australia (www.paperform.wordpress.com) Benja’s work is dedicated to creating high-end pop-up books and paper construction for a variety of different projects, including advertising, magazine illustration, fashion, packaging and invitations. Her work is gorgeous and shows what amazing things can be created with paper, I love anything quirky and cool and have a big interest in package design, so the work from Paperform really caught my eye! Benja has made paper creations for a number of different Australian editorials, including Women’s Health Magazine, House & Garden, Inside Out and Wish Magazine. One of the main pieces of work which really stands out to me is the Harpers Bazaar Pop-Up Book which was a one-off, bespoke creation for Harpers Bazaar Australia, used in a promotional capacity…it really is rather awesome!
More recently, Benja created a sculpture project for Incu in Australia in celebration of the store stocking Topshop as their latest ‘Presents’ project which opened on Tuesday night. The whole sculpture project by Benja has a distinct British feel and they are all dotted around the store! One of the sculptures for the store:
